Created by Sommelier Matthew Horbund, Crushed Consulting LLC was born out of Matthew’s passion for wine and unending desire to make wine approachable. It started with one client, whose 600 bottle in-home cellar was in disarray. He found Matthew through the recommendation of a good and trusted friend of his, who thankfully is a good friend of Matthew’s. In a little over two days, Crushed Consulting transformed his built in cellar used as a storage area into a fully functional wine cellar that is now under the company’s professional management. In this role, Crushed Consulting will ensure his collection is current, and relevant to how he enjoys wine.
Passionate about wine for over 20 years, Matthew has been a Sommelier with the Court of Master Sommeliers since 2011. In addition, Matthew:
- Started a wine blog in 2008, which led to doing live broadcast wine tasting events via the internet
- Began monthly appearances on the nationally syndicated morning show Daytime in May 2009. The wine segments were filmed in the NBC-Tampa studios and broadcast in over 110 US markets
- Appeared monthly on CBS 12 WPEC starting in December 2009
- Possesses over 20 years of finance and accounting management experience of corporations ranging from $100 million to $5 billion
